Hey Moonies!

This week I’ll be going back into the “Time Capsule”. The Time Capsule shows will focus on various music all released in a particular year. However, generally I will be playing a mix that will include avoiding some of the more obvious selections or perhaps just some things you’ve forgotten about.

By 1973, progressive rock was at peak, and saw the release of many important albums from the big British bands like Selling England by the Pound, Dark Side of the Moon, Larks Tongues In Aspic, Brain Salad Surgery, and more. It was also an important year for slightly lesser known artists like Banco, Nektar, Hatfield and the North, Area, Le Orme, and Henry Cow. And that’s just to name a few. But when you go even beyond that, there was lots of great progressive rock being released from around the globe that shouldn't be forgotten. And this week's show will be a mix of some of those obscure releases with some better known ones.
