Hey, thanks Sean for the Aussie prog rock.
Some classic stuff in there.
I'm completely flabbergasted that you don't have Spectrum (http://www.milesago.com/artists/spectrum.htm), who I would think are the quintessential Aussie prog band.
Spectrum Part 1 and Milesago are particularly good examples. I guess what makes them hard to think of as prog is that their style sometimes embraced straight rock. Samples are available at aztecmusic (http://www.aztecmusic.net/0%20-%20mp3.htm) who also have some other Aussie proggy bands.
Also, Mike Rudd (from Spectrum) formed another project called Patch, which did the Star Suite (http://prognotfrog.blogspot.com/2006/06/patch-star-suite-1973-128-aussie-prog.html).
