As I'm sure you're aware by now, Avian has chosen to step down as Owner and General Manager of Aural Moon, and I have agreed to take over those repsonsibilities. It was not an easy decision for me either, but the thought of the possibility of no more Aural Moon, or of Aural Moon in a stranger's hand were both unconscienceable to me.

Like Roger, I first want to thank Avian for all he's done, and for the trust he showed in me. Our first e-mail conversation was something like: Jim: "I may be interested in the Program Director position, but I should be honest, I've never done anything remotely like this before." Avian: "That's OK, we like doing new things around here! I'm sure you'll do a great job."

Over the three and a half years since, we have traded MANY e-mails and met in person once. I feel like I found not only a partner in the Aural Moon effort, not just a fellow prog fan, but a friend. So, I would like to assure the listener/forum community out there, that my intention is to keep Aural Moon on the same path that Avian set it upon. No substantial changes are planned. I can't say no change, because I'm already thinking about the next set of music I'm going to buy to add to the playlist!

I also want to thank Roger for the technical help he's been doing for the station. Without him, I would have had to say no, because the responsibilty and time commitment would have been too much for me to handle.

Lastly, Roger and I agree that Avian will always be GM-Emeritus, and his presence is always welcomed anywhere at Aural Moon. No need to say good-bye, because he'll be around. Hopefully moreso, since he won't have so much of the day to day stuff to worry about...

Amen to that!!!!!!!

It's human nature to be a little afraid of change but I for one am not worried one iota about the future of our AM community. Having met Jim and spoken to Roger I KNOW that we are in good hands. Dedicated doesn't begin to describe how Jim and Dr Dot are with AM and I am looking forward to the future with great confidence.

We're with you every step of the way lads.

Jim, thank you again for agreeing to steer the Moon boat. The thought of AM at the hands of anyone other than someone from this community...shudder. Your role as GM seems to be such a natural transition and with your guidance along with that of dotty, how can we go wrong. Very happy with the way things have turned out and hope Avian is enjoying his "freedom" too. No goodbyes, you're right...just a shift. Also, if things get to be too much I'm sure there are numerous of us who would be glad to jump in and "help". :D

Thumbs up from me!

I've only talked to Jim in person for maybe 10 minutes (I know his brother just as well lol) but I feel as if I've known him forever.

Forget Allstate....we're in good hands here.

I have nothing but deep respect and much affection for the Gentlemen of Aural Moon. Jim, I know you will do an excellent job...you have been doing it for as long as I've listened!

Between the two of you, (Avian & yourself), I have had the pleasure of countless listening hours of prog both old and new. And been able to be a part of a most elite group of listerners ever assembled. The proof is all around. AM supports me daily in my creative day.

Roger, you as well have contributed to a truley wonderous web-experience. Avian's presence will never leave here, and with the continued nurturing of Jim & friends, whom i've never met or spoken with, like the Great Nothing...it plays on and on.

Long lives the King
I will continue to support you all as best I can...you are greatly appreciated.

Jim, thanks for agreeing being the new general manager of AM. I'm a relatively recent member since it's been less than a year I came here first. But as long as AM will exist and as long as life will let me, I'll be here. You always did a great job here on Aural Moon and I trust you, you'll do great things. I'm not worried at all about the change. If you need help one day, you can ask me and I think I'm not the only one who would be glad to help.

As long as I can, I'll support you all friends. Thank you all to be here, AM still is an important part of my life thanks to you.
Long live Aural Moon !
