Wow! I bought their 30th anniversary anthology partially due to the requests here - what a great band! I guess I never fully appreciated them - even the stuff that's not prog is good music, and my god, were they ahead of their time or what?

A question for Big Twin - you mentioned "Grand Hotel" from Shine On Brightly - it's not on my copy (the anthology contains the first four albums and singles, rarities, etc) - might there be a different name? or are you talking about "The Grand Finale" from "In Held Twas In I"?

Regardless, look for a bunch of Procol soon...

The music to the song "Whiter Shade of Pale" is actually a piece of classical music redone on organ, guitar, bass, and drums. I think it was a Mozart piece, but I'm not sure, and I have no idea what piece. Someone who knows more about this, help me out.

What piece of classical music IS "Whiter Shade of Pale?" Inquiring minds want to know.

Yesspaz out.

It's a cantata from Bach, I forget which one.

The name of the piece is "Air on a G String", from the Orchestral Suite #3 in D. BWV1068 J.S. Bach
