This is a nice place. The only other web family I was part of was a quit smoking site, Blairsville to be exact. I was a member there for 4 years. YUP!! I quit smoking.....BUT!!!.........I fell off that wagon and back to the cigs. Anyway, I can see this will be fun. A little about my current favorites: Dream Theater and off shoots, Symphony X, Derek Sherian, Threshold, Evergrey, and Ayreon. Though I love guitar, bass, and keyboards.........it's the drummers that blow me away in this music. I like decent to good vocals, but I don't care about the lyrics, I never have. I'm really enjoying sitting here, roaming the site and listening. The ol' music "chills" are back, kinda like the first time I heard The Lamb Lies Down.

Dream Theater and off shoots You know Platypus? Side project of Myung, Ty from King's X, Rod from Dixie Dregs, and Derek Sherinian of everybody. They're in the playlist for requests if you're not. I suggest "Rock Balls" and "Platt Opus."

We certainly do our best. I stumbled upon this place when I first opened iTunes about two or so years ago and hung around. I was in our white room (SPChat) listening to Jim and Avian talking about issues and I offered my services. I've been acting as Chief Hardware/Station grunt ever since, and I have no regrets whatsoever about that decision.

Welcome to the funny farm.

Welcom to the moon York from Denmark. We 'll soon, however, get you off them cigs. As a vivid anti-smoker I have means of making you regret you ever even started again.:D

Thanks again, for the welcome!! OK.......I'll work on the smoking thing and I've got one BIG reason to quit.......My Granddaughter, now 4, I'd like to see her grow up. Anyway, I'm going to look up Platypus and I'll let you know what I think. I've been following Dream Theater since the mid-90's, but I had no idea there was a whole cult of this music. This is GREAT!!! I REALLY feel like.........uh???..............Christmas...ooops! !...I mean the Holiday Season.

Let me be the millionth person to welcome you to the Moon Family, york. As you have noticed I'm sure, aside from the great music that can be heard here, there is also great conversation, chat or whatever you want to call it as well as some good old "busting of chops". All in fun though which makes this such a great place to land. So strap yourself in and get ready for a great ride on the Moon.:)

OK..........thanks again. I've been reading threads and looking around. I'm having intermittent problems logging in the home page, so I can't join the shout. Anyway, I enjoy meeting new people and posting...chatting...shouting.....all that stuff. The moon is cool. When my granddaughter was a tiny baby, she had a love for looking at the moon, while I carried her around, singing the Winnie the Pooh theme. In PROG style, of course. It must have been a predestination for me to land here. One question though.........where's that US flag at!?!?!??!
