Jon........he came, he saw, he conquered.

Shepherds Bush Empire was the place to be this evening if you wanted to experience one of the truly GREAT concerts.

Rogor Mortis said that he'd decided to pass on this tour because he'd heard that there was too much talk and not enough music. Rogor you made a huge mistake!!!!!! Sure he talked between some of the songs but it was a concert of 2 hours, at least 1 hour 50 minutes of which was music.

Jon played solo but the sound was so full it enveloped you.

He sang like an angel  and had the audience in the palm of his hand.

Of course, he played a few Yes numbers.....soon, long distance runaround, And you and I, Yours is no disgrace and Your move to name a few. He also played some things he wrote with Vangelis.....State of indipendence and I'll find my way home. There were some newer songs, the titles of which I can't remember because I was basically taken so high by the overwhelming feeling of love and cosmic energy that Jon gave out.

It wasn't just me I promise. Pam and our friend Gill felt the same and looking at the other people in the audience it was obvious that the majority were in the same boat.

What is it about Jon Anderson that inspires and moves me so much? The day I met him in London is still so firmly in my mind. He is a beautiful man and I love him.

Definitely a gig in my top 5 of all time list.

Jon Anderson amazes me. He is what 60 years old? And a total freak of nature with that voice.

He was in town recently but I was at my concert allotment..lol.

Thanks for sharing the review....I always like to hear them..

Sure it is...it's just that all these shows are putting a strain on the other life aspects...and that place he's appearing at is having wonderful shows..Baltimore is coming around in regard to good music.

When was the last time you dug your allotment, k? Rick, they're postage stamped size garden beds in communal garden areas in the UK where ppl grow scrummy things like brussels sprouts and cabbages. I guess the idea first surfaced during WW1. Amazing what you can get out of a 5X3 mound of dirt.

Works both ways tho Rick. Besides, you'll have all the lingo for when you make your trip to the UK! First cafe you find go in and order a jam buttie. You'll fit right in, you will.

Going to see him on November 8th at Turning Stone Casino. Two days later, Styx. Both in the front row....life is good but bank is broken. After reading the reviews I am looking forward to the show. The setting is very cozy so it should be great.
