It's that time of year again, Turkey, Holidays, and time to cast your votes for the top Progressive rock albums of 2005! This is our 9th year doing this and you can be a part of it. You can pick multiple albums if you can't decide on one. The final Top 100 voted, will be broadcast on the GAGLIARCHIVES at 88.9FM/95.1FM in the Philadelphia area beginning Saturday, November 26th, part 2 will be Saturday, December 3rd, and the final 30 discs on December 10th. All programs begin at 10pm Eastern! The poll closes on Thursday, November 24th at 12:00 AM. If you feel a disc may be missing from the poll, please feel free to contact us. And of course...these are my favorite shows of the year... Special thanks to Gnosis2000, Roger Beckwith, Jack Webster, Dutch Progressive Rock Website, Roger Lee, Davin Flateau, Chad Hutchinson of Ghostland, and our buddies at Misterpoll as always. Happy Voting!

I just voted for Mars Volta, currently in #1, the three Tarentel EPs, the Wall tribute, and a few others. But just wanted to point out three glaring omissions from the poll:

King's X - Ogre Tones
Sigur Ros - Takk...
Mike Oldfield - Light + Shade

Just to note that Tangerin Dream's latest Jeanne D'Arc and Rocking Mars are missing - the first being their best for a while.

I won't comment on Spaz - I too bought Mars Volta - blindly and unortunately think it should be called Mars Revolting - Not my cup of tea but we are all different.

I voted just for one CD - Glass Hammer

But one thing's for sure: like 'em or hate 'em, they're turning the prog world upside down. They are the most popular prog band right now. Just look at that poll! They are selling out big places while most "traditional" prog bands are starving.

Oops, I notice Sigur Ros is there, so I voted for it and for the latest from A Silver Mt. Zion, which I also missed.

Pineapple Thief's 10 Stories Down is omitted too. And I'm holding my vote until it's listed. Great cd.
