Eastern Time, as we feature an interview with drummer, percussionist, and composer Gregg Bendian. Gregg is the center point of the excellent ensembles Interzone, and The Mahavishnu Project, including many others. Gregg joins us to discuss these projects including recent performances, and solo recordings as well. Join us for this exclusive interview.
We'll feature the new reissues of some classic Canadian albums from the Progquebec label in Maneige and their 1977 album Ni Vent...Ni Nouvelle, and their 1978 album Libre Service. We'll also track the 1978 self titled solo album from Contraction and Ville-Emard Blues Band bassist Yves Laferriere. We'll also feature the latest disc from South Philadelphia jazz guitarist Johnnie Valentino and his latest offering titled Stingy Brim, and the new disc from Swedish band Brighteye Brison and the Stories CD. Maneige...fantastique!! Ni Vent Ni Nouvelle...great album. Very happy it's been re-released. Some good music came out of Quebec in the 70's - a special time.
