Hello Dale
I also live in OC (West Garden Grove), that is not the strange part.
Just last sunday I heard three Flame Dream Lp's, Supervision, Out of the Dark and Travasanza(?) for the very first time.
I was a huge prog fan in the 70's but strayed quite a bit in the 80's only to return in the late 80's until (and still) today. Actually I had never heard of you guys.
I did not really like the Trava. release (too pop-ish).
The Out of the Dark was good Prog., with longer songs.
Supervision was a mix of both pop and prog yet very refined, sort of Eloy meets Ultravox.
It would appear that you have had (and continue to have) and long interesting career and I wish you the best.
Anyone can also check out an UN-official Flame Dream site at:

Yes,give great THANKS for the props/Respect and Big UPs Mr.UnleasHell!!! I am specially happy to see a fellow Southern Californian into/Heard of Swizerland's FLAME DREAM...And a very intresting review! Although,I am curious about your references to Eloy(All the Flame Dream albums were recorded mostly at the same studio Eloy recorded at ,which was Patrick Moraz's studio in Geneva,Switzerland(As well as many progressive Art-Jazz/Rock bands/Musicians.)...Ultravox...?? Hmmmm,That a first...I don't hear/see that...When I joined FLAME DREAM in 1978 we had sooo many influences,(I was refered by England's John Acock,(Steve Hackett/Deep Purple/Etc!);to FLAME DREAM.).The old mellowtrons/Moog Bass pedals...Early Genesis of coarse,Van Der Graff,Gentle Giant(We were on the same record label/Vertigo!),King Crimson;Jethro Tull;Roxy Music;Bill Bruford,Om,George Duke,U.K.,Enid,National Health and Classical Musics/Etc! We truelly broke historic ground in those days with 6 simi trucks/18 roadies and huge light-shows...FLAME DREAM indeed was indorsed by the BEST instrument companys. Many great European tours and loyal fans(A HUGE fan club!) all over! My favorite Tour/Album of coarse was "OUT IN THE DARK",Dale says humbly! Our drummer Pit(Peter)Furrer was and is a amazing drummer and still one of my BEST friends...He now has 2 drums stores and writes drummer books in Switzerland...We are expecting/Waiting on the CD releases of FLAME DREAM albums soon! If anyone has photos/Tour notes/Photos or just a fan of FLAME DREAM ;please feel free to contact me here in Southern California.Respect/Peace.....Dale Hauskins: http://www.gigmasters.com/artists/DaleHauskins/
