Hi All,

this is my first post on this forum.... Wanted to register to amarokprog.net forum but my registration got lost somewhere... (It is a very good site to have information about prog bands however) Got to write them about this...

Anyway, I am here today because I have a quite big problem : I would like to buy some prog music (apart from the well known and established bands we all know about) and I cannot find any good online store where to find some rarities (or I think they are. At least those are new names for me... I am talking about Magenta or Iona for instance, some of you probably know them for years).

I have been through the web to find some of their music but, aside the official website where the CD's are quite expensive, I cannot find anywhere else to go.

Could you please help me with this?

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Matthieu

This is the online store I buy from. Great prices, and run by the wonderful Greg Walker. He also sends out a monthly email about new releases.

There are many others, I'm sure other moonies will pipe up about those.

If you're french you could sometimes find interesting things here : http://www.2xmoinscher.com/
This is a site where people sell or buy many sort of things including CDs :) Example with Iona (just hope it is the right Iona :P) : http://www.2xmoinscher.com/CD/detail.asp?id=256820

Thank you !

It is good to know that some people are still present in prog rock (once again I am new on this kind of forums, please excuse me for this).

Sincerely, thank you very much for your quick reply to my post ! I hope I will now find my way now through the web to acquire some nice prog music...., though I must confess that "out of bound" prog music is presumably a high fare for my purse... But, "who wish, can" as we say in French.

Thank you very, very much for your help and, if I would dare, long live prog music and the people who make it still alive long after the 70's (ah, what a time for music!)

Matthieu.

You may dare as much as you wish :haha: .

There is another site I go to when I have difficulty finding some titles. The prices can be a bit high if the records/Cds are rare but for completing collections it is very useful.

Hope you visit The Moon often and join in with the many interesting chats that go on.
