A very Happy Birthday to The Great Dane........Woof Woof!!!!
It's our very own necromancer Rogor Mortis' birthday today. Truly one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I will never forget the first time I saw him.
It was at Braintree for a Yes gig. Jam, Laxmi, VAX, M, Mortis and I had arranged to meet up there. I had no idea what Mortis looked like so, as I got there early, I stayed out of the bar and waited. Nothing!!!!!!
I'd noticed a rather large, bearded chap wearing a cricket hat wandering around when all of a sudden my phone rang.
"Where the bloody hell are you?" the voice said.
"I'm standing right next to you and have been for the last 15 minutes" said I.
Yes, it was Mortis. After that I just had to buy him a pint of cider and typically my round got larger as none other than Alan White was propping up the bar at the same time. It turned out to be a sensational gig and even though they didn't do Ritual the And You and I was the best version I've EVER heard.

I actually got a reminder on the myspace the other day about your birthday, and thought, should I post early....but I see Keith took care of the premature ebirthdaylation......:eyes:
Happy birthday to you, Peter, and I shall always keep the Kroner pieceyou gave me (the kids looked at it with a puzzled look). However, the $10 is long since spent.
Look for some of your contributions next month on the show, and I appreciate the music you've sent in the past and the fun we had in Bilston and London.

okay keithie you've confused me :headscrat (you post dont open then say "today" is the bday---knowing the curious will be looking i guess :-V ), but i get it.... so with that i say:

When one passes the old fart barrier a birthday changes. No birthdays cards in the post any more and only a token present from the wife (partly my money anyway). So there's not much to look forward to compared to when one was a boy.
But when one reads these messages one's heart really gets warmed up and suddenly the day isn't bad at all (I deal with Vax later) . So moonies thank you so much for remembering a old grumpy man like me it makes the winter rain disappear.
Soon we should be enough to start the band "Grumpy Old Men"
