OK, so here's what we have:

1) Country Sabbath:

Regular Sabbath? Is that like primary sabbath before sundown Friday to after nightfall Saturday?

Well..Lets just start by saying Sabbath is my all time favorite band...
Not really progressive though...More like the Grandfathers of all that is doom...The FWB cover is pretty good for the bluegrass genre..
Though you could put Sabbath lyrics to any Union Stationesque riff and call it Black and Bluegrass...
The Sabbath song "Sleeping Villiage" off the first album Has a certain folk/country vibe anyway..w/ twanging jews harp included..
The last segment of "Warning"(same album)...has a sphegetti Western style intro riff.....When does the "Rappensabb" version come out??..

There's some jazz on Never Say Die...and Sabbath Bloody did have Mr. Wakeman. Search back in the Rickter Scale threads for the Sabbath show. Yes, we did three hours on the Fab Four.....let me know what you think about the song selection, or if you can't find it....

BILL: Yeah, I like that, and I like Faith No More when they did "War Pigs." I thought that was quite nice.

TONY: I think with the Cardigans, that was a complete different set... They treated it in a completely different way from as any other band would. It was real, "Who's that?" ... I thought it was a joke when I first heard it. Somebody played it in a radio station and said, "Have you heard this one?" I thought it was they were messing about. But it was good. It was certainly completely different."

The Faith no more cover is really good. Anthrax does a fine version of Sabbath Bloody, and although none of the guitar leads are present, the Primus (w/ Ozzy) cover of NIB is propulsive.
