Well, I threatened a new message on Djam Karet, and after Davin's comments, I felt compelled to follow through.
As Davin said, Djam Karet is/was definitely different from the other bands at NEARfest - they ARE primarily a jam band - but I will slightly modify Davin's comments by saying that they have a lot of insanely INSPIRED jamming, over some simple, and some not so simple riffs; add in nice arangements, changes in the background riffs, the occasional odd meter and some cool polyrhythms, and I still think that justifies my excitement over them - but let us know what you listeners think...
