"Get On Your Boots, the first single from U2's new album No Line On The Horizon, will be released as a digital download on February 15th with a physical format to follow on February 16 through Mercury/Universal (UK).
Produced by Brian Eno, Danny Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, sessions for No Line On The Horizon began in Fez, Morocco, and continued at the band's Dublin studio, New York's Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and London's Olympic Studios."
Sounds OK, but I'm sure it won't meet Moon criteria.

A big hearty "humbug" to all of you!
1. It IS in the forum "General Discussion."
2. They ARE the BIGGEST band in the world, period, so I'm sure a few people here like them.
3. I did name the thread "for those interested."
So, :neener: to all y'all.
BTW, I'm more excited about this release than most Cloner Prog.

I think if we were to sneak into everyone's record / cd stash, we would always find at least one U2 album (most likely the older ones).
I'm psyched about the new release, but it's not like I'd bring it around here to show off. I'll keep it to myself so y'all will be sol. :)

I did have "Boy" on vinyl once ...I liked the glockenspiel on "I will Follow", but later sold it when I needed $$$, to the local indie record shop...Haven't picked up anything else though...

I have every album on CD, two on vinyl, and about forty mp3s of b-sides, previously unrealeased, etc.

I'm a U2 fan. I have quite a bit of their music in one form or another. I saw them live on the Joshua Tree tour.
I just don't think they are really a 'prog' band. To me, this is not a problem since I am also a fan of many other non-prog bands. In fact, most of what I listen to is not considered prog. So sue me... :neener:
