Update, Update:
Shirts are in! I just received the case of them today.
I just received the new Aural Moon Patron Shirts. I think they came out really nice.
First up is to figure out who is going to Rosfest and to make sure I bring all the shirts for the ‘Festers. (RosFesters, that is not Uncle Festers)
I will figure out shipping costs for you people who will need it shipped.
For all you people who are not patrons yet... are you jealous or what?
Become a patron today by clicking on the link on the right of the Auralmoon.com web page.
Still working on the payment info... i'll post here as soon as i get it done.
Peter
Update:
We have enough people who said yes... to move forward on an order.
Many of you did not specify a size and/or did not give me shipping info.
If you are going to Rosfest, please say so... otherwise I will need a shipping address.
Please PM me you info... don't post it in the thread/forum.
Peter

As part of the PPP (Promoting Patronage Program) I am looking into having shirts made.
The shirts would be black, 'polo type' shirts with a logo embroidered at the usual spot.
"Aural Moon" and "Patron 2009" would be surrounding a graphical logo.
Estimated costs are @ $15 per shirt + Shipping costs.
If i can get the 'per shirt' cost lower we can (either) pass this savings back to the purchaser (you) or donate the difference to Jim B to assist in the operation of the station.
If you are going to ROSFest... there would be no Shipping costs (as long as they can be done on time)
Please PM me if you are interested. I will gauge 'total interest' before actually taking any orders as there are minimum quantities that we must exceed in order to have them made.
If you are definitely in... Please include your shirt size and your address (if shipping). If you are tentatively in... include the same info. After totalling interest... i will contact you before I commit the order.
So, Patrons... show your pride and step out in an Aural Moon Patron Shirt. 8-)
And non-patrons... Sorry you can't buy one. :neener:
But... non-patrons... this would be a great time to show your appreciation for all the great tunes you hear on the Moon... as well as the hard work that is put in by 'the Management' who bear all the financial burden to bring you these moments of Prog Bliss. (how's that for a Guilt inducing ramble..? I learned that from my mom.) Send in your donation to Jim asap.
You must be listed on the station as a Patron to order.

This idea is wonderful. Is this achieved?
I do not understand the mechanism of the order for the commodity in foreign countries.
Where should be told the size and the price that suits me?

Well, I won't use the beard and hair as an argument but I'd second the T-shirt. I've seen some very nice heavier fabric Ts out there.
I want a special shirt that says HEGEMONY lieu of PATRON.
In all seriousness, should I make an order form, patron accessible, here on the moon?

Jim said I've given enough music to AM to be a patron but i refused it. Why? For i always use a simple laptop so 56 K or 128 k doesn't matter to me.

I think the idea of the shirts Aural is a good idea. It should give an option for those who are not patrons could buy for example at a price slightly higher to help the funding of the radio station.
For example $ 15 patrons and patrons not $ 20 or $ 25
It is my opinion. I think everybody would be happy and no one would feel discriminated against.
TheFish
03-15-2009, 02:04 PM
Shoot Pete, $15 is a bargain. I really wouldn't press for a lower price. My sister is in that bussiness and that would mean a lower quality shirt, probably.
I'm in for two of them.

Yeah heavy cotton fabric Ts are my choice also, they last longer, wear better and look better. Cool tie-dyes would be sweet. :) Was disappointed by some ZPZ Ts I bought, damn things are so thin I'm afraid to wear them, graphics are cool, but gimme a real shirt plz. Order form makes sense if you got the time and energy VAX.
Regarding Mailo's anti-patron faction perhaps a patron/non-patron form? Then he'd be able to get a non-patron AM shirt if he wanted (assuming there was a non-patron shirt for a fee of course, but why not, it would still benefit AM), and patrons could still get patron shirts (for further patronage of the shirt of course... :) ) if they so desired.

I'm partial to Carhartt brand T shirts, nice and heavy, good quality. It would make a great Moon shirt, minus the Carhartt emblem of course.

In the past, any effort to get new "Moon Stuff" seems to get bogged down in endless debate and a variety of opinions. (not that either is bad, mind you)...
But, like our federal government, debate and opinions without action have gotten us no new 'anything'.
So... Round 1 PPS (Patron Polo Shirts.)
Possibly Round 2 Member Tee shirts.
Later we can consider, by demand, what else we should do.
And now that we have the Poll function this will be easier.
Remember, part of the purpose of this promotion is to encourage people to become a Patron. It is really not that expensive if you think about it.
Becoming a patron costs about the same as...
....the cost of 11 packs of cigarettes.
... the cost of 6 six-backs of good beer.
... the cost of 3 cases of cheap, horrible, mass produced, made with rice, beer
... 1/4 the cost of taking your family to a ball game.

that members registered as a non patron may purchase a T-shirt is a way to collaborate with Aural Moon.
It is that we are a little more flexible with the sensitivity of all moonies.

Are they going to be embroiderd or silk screened?
If embroidered then Polo shirts seem the best there, but if it's silk screen then just do T shirts.
Sillk screen on a Polo shirt would look crappy.

In the land that brought you apartheid it would cost the same as:
... 25 packs of cigarettes.
... 20 six-packs of average local beer.
... 18 six-packs of the best local beer.
... 15 six-packs of good imported beer.
... 8 bottles of good local red wine.
... 4 bottles of Jack Daniel's.
... 27 supersize Big Mac Mac Meals.
If you add another $5 you may get 2 bottle of 12 YO Glenfiddich single malt.
Or 1 months broadband connection at a good enought speed to reap the benefits of a Patron.
Believe me! I would if I could.

Well Basically, It will be a large tube of cloth... with two, shorter tubes sticking off one end. I will try to get them to put the smaller tubes in an 'opposing' configuration. That same end of the large tube will be somewhat closed with a buttonable opening. (with a nice collar)
Finally, Thor has designed a new Am logo which will be applied to the large tube. about 3/4 up from the bottom and 38º off center.
