The good groups get screwed over every time. Alice Cooper is a step in the right direction if its the whole band not just him.

Crock and Droll hall of Shame. Hollywood elitism in the heart of Cleveland.

A total joke. What more does one expect with a tool like Jann Wenner involved.

Okay, okay, okay. I agree that the RnR HoF is pretty sad. My point is to ask who you think should actually be in a good RnR HoF. Alice Cooper? I say yes. Neil Diamond? I say no.

How many prog bands are actually in the hall? Genesis got in last year, probably based on their pop releases. Pink Floyd is in, but who else?

I said "proggiest" - not prog! :flutter:

I hope that makes my point!

I did't know Weird Al Yankovich was even worthy of notice... but Zvinki is right, the R&R HoFame is a friggin joke.

Since "Rock and Roll" isn't a copyrighted thing, and since it's not officially affiliated with an organization, like the various sports halls of fame, I still hold by my idea I had last year. Someone should start a competing hall of fame that will not be agenda-based and tied into one magazine (Rolling Stone in this case). This new hall would obviously need a different name, due to copyright and legal stuff. I'm thinking "The Rock Hall." Anyway, this one would focus on ROCK alone, not country or rap (Sure, there's the Grand Ole Opry, but shouldn't there be a Rap Hall by now? Why stick them in the Rock Hall?). If the RnR HoF wanted to raise a stink about, a couple of lawyers threatening anti-monopoly lawsuits would quell that nonsense. The Rock Hall could do it right.

It's time to blow it up and start over.

Seriously! Moves are afoot to do just that over here in Europe. Watch this space. I hope something comes out of all the discussion.

That reminds me....I must get Skype working again or I might fall by the way-side.
