We have for the same artist his 2 names in the library. I think we should only have his actual (Wendy Carlos) for all the albums.

I think the albums bear the name of Walter before emasculation. I think we should stick with that. Are you willing to change the Phil Collins fronted Genesis entries in the library to the Phil Collins Band?

I would concur with VAX. While the body is the same (um,.... sort of), the identity is different. So albums originally published under "Walter" should remain listed that way.

Since we list by last name (Carlos), they will be adjoining in the library listings so folks can see both.

He/she wrote "The Knife" right?

Oh - that was Genesis...

If we listed every line-up difference for bands like Yes and Crimson, we'd run out of room. Leave Wendy/Walter as the person she/he was at the time of recording.

The difference is who or what the album is credited to. No matter the line-up, they're all credited to Yes or King Crimson. Heck, technically, Pink Floyd has had five line-ups.

I say go with what the album is credited as except for the occasions when a solo project is credited to "The X Band/Trio."

C'mon! Does it really F'n matter? It only matters to the extend that you care about an artist playing close to itself. The request rules is what I'm saying. Yes plays, can can't play again for X length of time.

If Steve Morse and The Steve Morse Band are put in like that, then SAM treats that as separate artists. Like I said, it only matters to the extent you care about an artist playing close to itself.

Walter's music has more balls than Wendy's Yespaz. Therefore it should stay the way it is.
