On the full moon, a so called penumbral lunar eclipse will take place. However, there will only be a slight darkening on the edge of the Moon.
It is not particularly spectacular but will still be visible in Europe, USA and Asia.

Sadly, this was more of a non-event than an event. There was an ever so slight reduction in the moon's brightness but, unless one had been observing it, most would have never known it.

I did learn that the pool deck I constructed last summer and finished/stained this summer made for an excellent observation platform. Too bad this eclipse wasn't much to observe. :( There will be others! ;)
