Greetings friends.
This week's show is courtesy of my good buddy cplj1885. He found the artists for tonight and sent me links to videos on YouTube. Thanks John.
The first artist is a UK group called Fantasy. I'll be playing their first album 'Paint a Picture' from 1973 (which we've had in our library), as well as 'Beyond the Beyond' from 1974. They are more on the rock side but they later grew into a more symphonic sound later on.
The second group is Satin Whale. They are from Germany. They formed near Colognein 1971. They released their first album Desert Places in 1973, which is the album I'll play. They also released a series of album through 1980, about 1 per year. They momentarily lost their way around 1976 but found it again by 1978. At the beginning they have a Folk/Prog sound heavily influenced by Jethro Tull.
