I think it might have gotten lost in the playlist - I am soliciting suggestions for the DRH - I think one of the things Spaz did very well was get "audience participation" - and I am not above stealing a good idea! If you have ideas for DRH, send me a PM or post here - I'll let you know if I need the file, I do have quite a large collection as most of you know.

King's X, Shriekback, both pretty digressive in their ways. QOTSA can also mess with your idea of how a riff should progress. Tom Waits is as digressive as you can get.

Here's a diverse bunch of bands I would tune in to hear...
Oingo Boingo, The Fixx, Tears for Fears, Steeleye Span, Hedgehog Pie, Gino Vannelli, Toe Fat, Humble Pie, XTC, Randy Newman, early Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper, early Elton John from madman or tumbleweed connection.

Jim,
I sent you another Dropbox of some oldies but I see you haven't opened them yet, sent them about 2 weeks ago.

Everything Laudio said, Scorpions, UFO, Pat Travers, Thomas Dolby, Mott The Hoople / Ian Hunter, David Bowie, Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter, Ronnie Montrose, Average White Band, Tower of Power, Brecker Brothers.
That should take care of a few shows :-)

I recommended Bowie too. Specifically, "1984".

An assorted set of artists in my current playlist that are neither prog or not present in the catalogue:
Bauhaus
Scorpions (first LP is Krautrock)
Black Sabbath (Never Say Die - side B)
Damascus (great if it could be added to the catalogue)
Hérois Del Silêncio ("Entre Dos Tierras" was a success all over Europe)
John Entwistle ("Left for Live" contains a few gems such as "Under a Raging Moon")
Kalashnikov
Ornette Coleman ("Lonely Woman" please)
Pink Fairies (the instrumental version of "Uncle Harry's Last Freakout" sounds very proggy)
Schubbert ("Der Tod und das Mädchen" has a good deal of heavy metal in it)
Sétima Legião (start with the tracks "Sete Mares" or "Por Quem Não Esqueci")
Stellardrone
Syberia
Valerinne (another band that would be nice to have in the catalogue)
Velha Gaiteira
