Finally got inspired again.

Pete Townsend & Ronnie Lane - Rough Mix (anyone know this album? - classic)
Billy Thorpe - Children Of The Sun (cheesy, but fun, from high school days)
Fuck Buttons - Prince's Prize (if you like this, talk to me before buying, CRAZY ass album :) )
Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch (newish stuff, from a current band I like)
Elton John - Tiny Dancer (classic, hard to believe this was so early in his career)
Oingo Boingo - Just Another Day (as fun as it gets)
Tears For Fears - Memories Fade (all time favorite band for me, very underrated)
Dire Straits - Skateaway (Mark Knopfler, enough said)
U2 - Who's Going To Ride Your Wild Horses (I think of this as midpoint in their catalog but technically it's early - time flies)
Belly - Feed The Tree (great song that would have benefited from a kick ass drummer)
Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars (beautiful newish song)
Johnny Cash - If You Could Read My Mind (hope this is as moving for at least one other, brings tears to my eyes, and yes, I know it's a cover - one of the last things he recorded)
XTC - Burning With Optimism's Flame (and ending on a positive note)

... but the scars still linger.

I discovered Tears For Fears with The Hurting. An underappreciated album by many.

This is a nice tune from a great Dire Straits album.

But have mercy on me! The best U2 album and one of the top ten albums ever made in any genre, in my opinion.

"You're dangerous 'cause you're honest."
"You're a piece of glass left there on the beach."
"You lied to me 'cause I asked you to: 'Baby, can we still be friends?'"
"The doors you've opened I just can't close."

A perfect song from a perfect album.
