Arcade Fire are an interesting band. Instead of a "guitar player" and "a drummer", they are a group of multi-instrumentalists who change instruments frequently. This gives them a unique sound in that there's a different feel for each instrument from song to song, but gives them a uniform sound in that it's all from the same corp of musicians. There's around ten or so people in the band. Another uniqueness is that while there's a definite lead singer, they all sing constantly, giving the band a cathartic and anthemic quality. If you are not familiar with Arcade Fire, I highly recommend watching this short live set from Glastonbury (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcGyeaUi4uk). I couldn't find the amazing Austin City Limits 2011 concert, so here (https://vimeo.com/101582802) are some (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSTIjxa7RgI) random other (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp4gm544kHI) killer live (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWMjjvfuGPo) clips, including (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXUCmbq_e6Y) a hurdy gurdy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YRJv3tPCw0).
