yeah, we are slowly witnessing the end of the original prog rock era,, one by one they leave us but they leave us with some of the greats music ever created. So fortunate to have lived during the great age of timeless prog. Thanks to all the original proggers who have made life better and touch our souls with the music they created and nobody did it better than Greg Lake, one of the greatest voices of our generation. It's sad but inevitable, the older we get, the more we loose...but the one great thing we will never loose is the music they create. I for one am very thankful.

Very sad news. Greg was along with John Wetton and Jon Anderson one of my favorite prog vocalists. Fortunately I got a chance to see him with Keith in 2010. Strange that neither one is with us anymore. RIP.

Well, crud. I was never a big ELP fan (in fact, I pretty much despise ELP), but am a big King Crimson fan, and Lake was vital to those first two albums.

Hopefully "Confusion" will not be his epitaph.

loved his voice as especially as i credit King Crimson as my first real progressive memory...King Crimson Court and the ever so lovely "I Talk To The Wind"...loved U.K...as well as ELP which was a running joke with my work husband at one point (during the late 90's) i'd say yeah that song was good but whatever happened to ELP?

you will be missed Greg Lake, one of progressive rocks finest voices IMO

I was not much of a fan of ELP, though, like 'Spaz, a big fan of King Crimson.
A sad day indeed. May they all rest in peace.
