Real life hits again! This week, I didn't have a show ready to go, so I chose the easy "3 album" approach.
Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Plastic Fang (2002): fun, campy, high-energy rock and roll
Special EFX - Modern Manners (1985): they sometimes get lumped into the "smooth jazz" category, but with a guitarist who is a gifted composer and arranger, and a multi-percussionist as the two main members, there is a fair amount of interest here
Mahogany Rush - Strange Universe (1975): great guitar, borderline prog at times, 70's sensibility all the way.
Enjoy!
