i decided today to help the project. i began with the initial Z bands . unfortunately when i reached the Zodiac band name , a single keyboard mistake kicked me out of this message box and all the work done was lost .. Does it work if I work on a' word sheet 'then copy and paste it in the message box?

A few questions. First, is the methodology described in this thread still the latest way to get things updated in the database?

Second, was Dale involved in any of this? My memory is a bit fuzzy but I thought he was involved in some mass update.

Third, can a pull be done from the database to show which artists are flagless?

And finally, is there an editor to proof submissions if one choses to participate?

Judging by the amount of songs being played without a flag, I'm guessing the list is going to be fairly large.

BTW, if there was a public database with an API or SPI to access data like country of origin, I'm sure a neat program could be written to actually populate the missing values.

Except for how often those databases are inaccurate. I've seen correct country flags changed to incorrect because someone "added" the value in this list by going through it alphabetically, doing them all.

My MO, back when I worked on it, was when I saw an artist without a flag play, I wrote it down. When I had twenty or so I did those. I may have to get back to that a bit.
