2-10 updates to the library
Yes, I know, I didn't get off my lazy duff to put the new stuff on the Moon until the 11th. It's been sitting there waiting for me to actually recover enough from this cold to be able to function.
Anyway, enough of my lame excuses. Here's the latest treasures to be found:
Enjoy! Roger -Dot- Lee, intrigued by 'Bob's Your Monster', simply from the name standpoint |
Re: 2-10 updates to the library
February may be a short month, but we're long on additions to the playlist. The latest:
Enjoy! |
Dr. Dot's been a slacker
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've been a slacker, and I've let work get piled up on me. I was kidnapped by aliens. I was a witness to a mob related drive by shooting involving the Hell's Grannies and have been in the witness protection program. I've been working on a top secret government project involving goose liver pate and it's use as rocket propellant. Did I mention I was kidnapped by aliens?
Anyway, here's the goodies:
Roger -Dot- Lee, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. |
Latest updates from 3-31-05
Hoo boy. Progdirjim has done it again. It seems like only yesterday (or maybe the day before at the very earliest) when I thought it impossible for him to outdo himself in the cool tunes department. He proves me wrong again to the tune of TWENTY FIVE new albums!
Note: there's a whole lot of Mastermind in this update, and that's all re-ripped tunage. I'm not sure what happened to those files, but every time one played, it kicked off the Infamous CPU Bug(TM). Anyway, I'm gonna commence with the shutting of up and posting of music:
And the Mastermind I was mentioning earlier:
Roger -Dot- Lee, ooh, mah achin' SPLEEN! |
Considering the fact that the Dogwoods and Magnolias are in full bloom, and everything in Greater Atlanta is green (including the cars), would it be too horrible a pun to mention that Jim uploaded a whole bunch of new stuff that's nothing to sneeze at?
Roger -Dot- Lee, Gesundheit |
Some more new stuff we snuck on:
Crucis - Crucis Crucis - Los Delirios Del Mariscal Metamorphosis - Then All Was Silent Little King - Virus Divine Parallel Mind - Colossus ADEA and coming soon: Underground Railroad - The Origin Of Consciousness Bill Pohl - Solid Earth Kurt Rongey - Book In Hand Kurt Rongey - That Was Propaganda |

Greetings and salutations, Moonies!
ProgDirJim has been a busy boy, and I've been slacking horribly (for assorted reasons, none of which mitigate the fact that I've been slacking horribly). Anyway, in a different order than usual:
Roger -Dot- Lee, trying something different for a change. |
Latest updates
INCOMING!!!!!!
Note: the Wolfgang Record Sampler each contain a single song from each of the artists listed. The Gentle Giant was some massive updating and filling of holes. Still, that's a lot of cool stuff. I don't wanna hear no more about no overrequesting, ya hear? Roger -Dot- Lee, Don't MAKE me come down there... |
Latest updates, Late May Edition
Greetings, Fellow Moonies!
Due to my recent acquisition of a New! Job!, and the interesting stresses added therein, I've been a tad lax in my duties to one and all. For this I offer my heart-felt apologies and will do my best to repent, etc. In the mean time, Jim has NOT in fact been a lazy slacker, and has, in fact, kept his part of the bargain. And boy has he.
Notice the new VDGG. That ain't a typo, folks. Enjoy! Roger -Dot- Lee, gonna start getting off the stick Real Soon Now(TM). |
OnOffOn
Greetings and salutations, folks!
I took the initiative this weekend to add a stellar set of albums by our own ONOFFON. Their Surrender Now and Your Mind albums have been uploaded with the blessings of Von. I highly recommend that y'all give this stuff a listen. Good jazzy feel to a lot of it with some serious symphonic prog as well. A VERY well rounded repetoir, in my not-so-humble opinion. Roger -Dot- Lee |
Latest and greatest of the latest and greatest, June 13th, 2005 edition
Greetings and salutations, Lunites!
I've actually been somewhat on the ball these days and noticed that Jim managed to stuff more Cool Stuff(TM) into the station. I, in an overabundance of a sense of duty and a desire to hear said cool stuff, did what I do, and it's done. So there. Anyway,
You'll notice the Toccata entry doesn't have what one would consider a valid album title. There's a very good reason for this, and if you'll give me a bit of time to get enough coffee in my system to think it up, I'll gladly do so. Anyway, enjoy the new tunes! Roger -Dot- Lee, lookin' at that Karmakanic and wondering if they can fix my van. Or the string of bad luck I've been having lately.... |
Latest additions for 6/17/05
I usually leave some witty comment here for the mild bemusement of the readership.
I'm going to forego the pleasure this time, since Jim's selections speak for themselves. Roger -Dot- Lee

Latest and greatest from 07-06-05
Yes yes, I know, 07/06/05 was yesterday, and that's actually when I uploaded these nice new entries courtesy of ProgDirJim. I did my good little doobie deed and got them loaded, but I didn't do the album covers (yet) and even neglected to let y'all know about it.
I plan on rectifying both of those oversights immediately (if not sooner). In fact, I'd have done this much sooner, except for... Quote:
Roger -Dot- Lee, Enjoy! |
Oh, mah achin' epiglotis!
Just when you thought it was safe....
Jim posts what HAS to be a record. I'm not saying that it can't be beaten, simply because no sooner do I do THAT, then he takes it as a challenge and tries to outdo himself. Like he just did. Anyway, before I confuse anyone any further, I'd like to state that I didn't put album names on this lot, simply because there were TOO DAMN MANY and it would have taken me several hours worth of digging. Here's the artists. I'll let y'all explore the goodies:
For the record, that was over 400 individual titles. All new, no duplicates, and only one artist that I'd remember seeing previously (though there may be more). Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go lay down. I think I hurt myself. Besides, I need to rest up. Rumor has it that there's a whole bunch more on the way. Roger -Dot- Lee, ow. |

Entries for 8/6/05
Greetings and salutations, lunar buds!
In honor of Vaxman's birthday, and since I can't magically make his daughter disappear (much to his likely chagrin, I'm sure, however I'd wager that would make a birthday present he'd likely never forget), I'm going to bring you the latest and greatest to the moon instead! (how's that for a lame segue, eh? BOY do I need practice!) Anyhoo... Jim managed to nail down quite a few tribute albums with this latest batch, and I'll admit freely that a goodly number of them look more than a little interesting to my good self. There's also some new ... er ... OK, I'll let you read the list for yourself!
Enjoy, Moonbuds! And happy b-day, Vax! Let's hope tonight's celebrating make tomorrow's hangover worthwhile! Roger -Dot- Lee, always looking at the bright side of life! |
Latest Additions, 8/27/05
Hey Dot! Why doncha let PDJim get a few Albums up before stuffin' em! That'll make your life easier!
Has anyone said that (or something similar) to themselves? I know I have! And I have only one thing to say to that: DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT! I take some time to do Dot type stuff, and Jim, in his Own Way, comes behind me and plugs all this stuff up for me to ignore. And in the process, I not only rob y'all of cool music, but I make my life more difficult, and fill up the disk space on the server to boot. I should be ashamed. In repentence, I promise that:
Having said that...
Ow my achin' epiglottis. Roger -Dot- Lee, gonna swear off procrastinating one of these days... |
Additions for 9-21- (or so) -05
Just when you thought it was safe...just when you thought that nothing new could creep into the library...
ProgDirJim comes back from his trip to the East side of The Great Undrinkable and puts in a bunch of new stuff! Stuff from old favorites to new entries. Good stuff. Stuff from folks like:
Enjoy, folks! I know I will... Roger -Dot- Lee |
Latest updates, October 1 2005
Greetings and salivations, folks!
Your friendly neighborhood Technical Manager finally managed to have that little Plexiglas(TM) window installed in his stomach so he could see out, and thus see that our friendly neighborhood Program Director uploaded some cool stuff to be stuffed and mounted!
|
Latest updates as of 10-23-05
I'm afraid I've been remiss in keeping up to date on the stuffing of and mounting therein of the cool stuff that Jim's been mounting, since my plate has been stuffed to overflowing with mounting piles of work. It's just getting silly!
Anyway, before I try to stretch that joke out any further, thus likely damaging it and myself beyond any and all repair, below, and attached, is a listing of all the cool stuff that's been mounted and... Oh, alright. Here it is:
Roger -Dot- Lee, likin' what he sees almost as much as what he hears in this lot... |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library
LAAAAAYYYYDEEEEEEEZ AAAAAANNNNNNNDA GENTLEMEN!
(sorry, I've been wanting to do that for ages) Jim's been busy while I've been off hauling hay to peasants in the suburbs of Tirana, Albania (well, OK, that's a fib. I've just been busy with work). Since I seem to have run out of steam with that intro, I'm gunna shut up now and list what's been stuffed and mounted:

Even though the rest of western Civilization (well, MOST of the rest of western Civilization, that is) has been taking time off over the holidays.
We haven't. Nuff said.
Enjoy! Roger -Dot- Lee |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
I am in awe. In spite of managing to live three lives (not including his own), Jim has successfully managed to rip and plug some serious, and I do mean SERIOUS prog.
So without further ado:

Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
Greetings, folks.
I put these up yesterday, but, as is my wont these days, managed to forget to post about it here. So, in contrast with my usual operations, I'm gonna shut up and do it.

Lay-Deez And Gentlement...
Due to far too many excuses for me to keep up with, let alone bore you with, I've let my main task here at Aural Moon slip. And Jim managed to put a bunch of cool stuff up there whilst I wasn't looking. Some of it new, some of it unpronounceable, all of it cool.
Roger -Dot- Lee, Enjoy! |
Updates to the library, 3/22/06
Ladies and Gentlemen, Jim has done it again. He's managed to come up with another dandy update to the library. Instead of trying to describe it, I'm just going to tell you what's there and let you draw your own conclusions (or mustaches on pictures of me if you wish).
Roger -Dot- Lee, flabbergasted, I tell ya! |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
Oh, a week or so ago Dot remembered to add the following:
Lazuli - Lazuli Mike Florio - Arisen Static - Patterns Gansan - Gansan Crack The Sky - Crack The Sky Gambale Hamm Smith - Show Me What You Can Do Ronnie Montrose - The Speed Of Sound Styx - Equinox Styx - Crystal Ball Umphrey's McGee - Safety In Numbers Flamborough Head - Tales Of Imperfection First Band From Outerspace - Impressionable Sounds of The Subsonic Skyron Orchestra - Situations but forgot to post about it. So here I am. Since another update is soon to arrive (INCOMING DOT!), I figured I oughta mention the previous one... |

My most 'umble apologies for falling down on the job. Roger -Dot- Lee, chastised to the point where I'll make sure to post the next ones twice! OK, maybe not, but Mea Maxima Culpa &c. |

G'mornin', folks.
That pile of dirt sitting next to my computer happens to be the remnants of the hole that I just dug myself out of. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library

Roger -Dot- Lee, 26 new albums in all. |
Additions to the library, 9/9/2006
Greetings, folks.
After an extended absence, I have, to a limited extent, returned. At least long enough to get caught up on the stuffing and mounting and try to figure out why y'all can't send me mail but the spammers can. There's fundamentally something wrong with that. Anyway, here's a list of all the cool new stuff on the library. Note: there are a couple in there that are re-rips, and a few that are remixes of older stuff.
Enjoy! Roger -Dot- Lee, not interested in weight loss, Pakistani penny stocks, or any kinds of medicines that are not prescribed by a doctor that's actually seen me. |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
Also on 9/9:
Pilotdrift - Water Sphere (2005) |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
One thing that is confusing the Moon a bit is these remasters. Currently, we have them listed by the year they were released, but does that work for you guys when you browse the playlist, which is listed chronologically? I think I'd rather see them listed with their original dates. What do ye think?
|
Updates for 10/18/2006
In honor of 10/19/2006(*), We at Aural Moon have decided to stuff and mount a whole BUNCH of new stuff.
Aside to Jim: Two thumbs up on the Stereolab. Anyway...
Roger -Dot- Lee (*) 10/19/2006: The 10th anniversary of 10/19/1996. |
Re: Latest updates to the Aural Moon Library (read only)
A small update:
Caamora - Closer (Clive Nolan of Pendragon and Arena with female vocals) Deluge Grander - August In The Urals (Zappaesque fusion with many influences) Gareth Thomas - The Theory (nice solo album with good depth) Himalia - II (serious jazz) |
