Dr. Dot's been a slacker

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I've been a slacker, and I've let work get piled up on me. I was kidnapped by aliens. I was a witness to a mob related drive by shooting involving the Hell's Grannies and have been in the witness protection program. I've been working on a top secret government project involving goose liver pate and it's use as rocket propellant. Did I mention I was kidnapped by aliens?

Anyway, here's the goodies:

  • Between - Contemplation
  • Beyond Rock Sampler - Astoria
  • Beyond Rock Sampler - Bear, Jeff
  • Beyond Rock Sampler - Epiffanie

Latest updates from 3-31-05

Hoo boy. Progdirjim has done it again. It seems like only yesterday (or maybe the day before at the very earliest) when I thought it impossible for him to outdo himself in the cool tunes department. He proves me wrong again to the tune of TWENTY FIVE new albums!

Note: there's a whole lot of Mastermind in this update, and that's all re-ripped tunage. I'm not sure what happened to those files, but every time one played, it kicked off the Infamous CPU Bug(TM).

Anyway, I'm gonna commence with the shutting of up and posting of music:
  1. 4Front - Gravity
  2. Anima Mundi - Septentrion
  3. Aries - Aries
  4. Atoll - L'araignee-Mal
  5. Bad Dog U - Bad Dog U
  6. Bergamini, Joe - Arrival
  7. Bezar, Emily - Angels' Abacus
  8. Bezar, Emily - Four Walls Bending
  9. Edhels - Saltimbanques
  10. Embryo - Steig Aus
  11. Giardini D'Autunno - Frammenti Di Idee Perdute
  12. Grobschnitt - Solar Music (Live)
  13. Groovector - Darklubing At Tavastia
  14. Hidria Spacefolk - Live Eleven AM Nearfest 2004
  15. La Maschera Di Cera - In Concerto
  16. Luz Escondida - Luz Escondida
  17. North Star - Extremes
  18. Onza - Zona Crepuscular
  19. Roversi, Cristiano - The Park
  20. Sylvan - Artifical Paradise
  21. Taproban - Outside Nowhere
  22. Weber, Eberhard - The Colours of Chloe
  23. Yleclipse - Prime Substance
  24. Zaal - La Lama Sottile
  25. Zaq - Zaq

And the Mastermind I was mentioning earlier:
  1. Mastermind - Excelsior!
  2. Mastermind - Live In Tokyo
  3. Mastermind - Until Eternity
  4. Mastermind - Vol. 1
  5. Mastermind - Brainstorm
  6. Mastermind - Tragic Symphony
See? And here you thought I was joking.

Roger -Dot- Lee, ooh, mah achin' SPLEEN!

Roger -Dot- Lee 04-08-2005 05:56 PM

Considering the fact that the Dogwoods and Magnolias are in full bloom, and everything in Greater Atlanta is green (including the cars), would it be too horrible a pun to mention that Jim uploaded a whole bunch of new stuff that's nothing to sneeze at?
  • Alamaailman Vasarat - Kaarmelautakunta
  • Alquin - Marks
  • Maury E I Pronomi - (EC) Citazioni Neoclassiche
  • Mind Gallery - The Lemmings Were Pushed
  • Salem Hill - Be

Greetings and salutations, Moonies!

ProgDirJim has been a busy boy, and I've been slacking horribly (for assorted reasons, none of which mitigate the fact that I've been slacking horribly).

Anyway, in a different order than usual:

  • Pallas - Arrive Alive
  • Present - A Great Inhumane Adventure
  • Miriodor - Parade
  • Miriodor - Live At Nearfest 2002
  • Krister Jonsson Trio - Waiting for Atonesjka

  • Farpoint - Grace
  • Earthstone - Seed

Latest updates, Late May Edition

Greetings, Fellow Moonies!

Due to my recent acquisition of a New! Job!, and the interesting stresses added therein, I've been a tad lax in my duties to one and all. For this I offer my heart-felt apologies and will do my best to repent, etc.

In the mean time, Jim has NOT in fact been a lazy slacker, and has, in fact, kept his part of the bargain.

And boy has he.
  • Archimedes Badkar - II
  • Bodin, Thomas - I Am
  • Dimension X - So... This Is Earth.
  • Hamadryad - Safe in Conformity

OnOffOn

Greetings and salutations, folks!

I took the initiative this weekend to add a stellar set of albums by our own ONOFFON. Their Surrender Now and Your Mind albums have been uploaded with the blessings of Von.

I highly recommend that y'all give this stuff a listen. Good jazzy feel to a lot of it with some serious symphonic prog as well. A VERY well rounded repetoir, in my not-so-humble opinion.

Latest and greatest of the latest and greatest, June 13th, 2005 edition

Greetings and salutations, Lunites!

I've actually been somewhat on the ball these days and noticed that Jim managed to stuff more Cool Stuff(TM) into the station. I, in an overabundance of a sense of duty and a desire to hear said cool stuff, did what I do, and it's done.

So there.

Anyway,
  • Karmakanic - Entering the Spectre
  • Scythe - Divorced Land
  • Stein, Ira and Russel Walder - Transit
  • Synergy - Metropolitan Suite
  • T - Naive
  • Thonk - Earth Vision Impact
  • Toccata - A couple of tracks

You'll notice the Toccata entry doesn't have what one would consider a valid album title.

There's a very good reason for this, and if you'll give me a bit of time to get enough coffee in my system to think it up, I'll gladly do so.

Anyway, enjoy the new tunes!

Roger -Dot- Lee, lookin' at that Karmakanic and wondering if they can fix my van. Or the string of bad luck I've been having lately....

Yes yes, I know, 07/06/05 was yesterday, and that's actually when I uploaded these nice new entries courtesy of ProgDirJim. I did my good little doobie deed and got them loaded, but I didn't do the album covers (yet) and even neglected to let y'all know about it.

I plan on rectifying both of those oversights immediately (if not sooner). In fact, I'd have done this much sooner, except for...

Oh, mah achin' epiglotis!

Just when you thought it was safe....

Jim posts what HAS to be a record. I'm not saying that it can't be beaten, simply because no sooner do I do THAT, then he takes it as a challenge and tries to outdo himself.

Like he just did.

Anyway, before I confuse anyone any further, I'd like to state that I didn't put album names on this lot, simply because there were TOO DAMN MANY and it would have taken me several hours worth of digging.

Here's the artists. I'll let y'all explore the goodies:
  • Antonelli Ensamble, Fabio
  • Astralia
  • Azazello
  • Bagsby, David
  • Cabaret Du Ceil
  • Contrappunto Project
  • Cossu, Scott
  • Critters Buggin
  • Doracor
  • Egoband
  • Eris Pulvia
  • Evel
  • Evolution
  • Free Wave System
  • Garlic
  • Hiroshima
  • Hoekstra, Joel
  • Interface
  • Jarre, Jean-Michel
  • La N.A.V.E
  • La Zona
  • Lethean
  • Lost Tales
  • Metheny, Pat
  • Mindflower
  • Moon Fog Prophet
  • Notturno Concertante
  • Odessa
  • Outside
  • Presto Ballet
  • Rain
  • Saturnia
  • Sithonia
  • Sunscape
  • The Far Side
  • Theatre
  • Thirteen of Everything
  • Trama

For the record, that was over 400 individual titles. All new, no duplicates, and only one artist that I'd remember seeing previously (though there may be more).

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go lay down. I think I hurt myself. Besides, I need to rest up. Rumor has it that there's a whole bunch more on the way.

Roger -Dot- Lee, ow.

Greetings and salutations, lunar buds!

In honor of Vaxman's birthday, and since I can't magically make his daughter disappear (much to his likely chagrin, I'm sure, however I'd wager that would make a birthday present he'd likely never forget), I'm going to bring you the latest and greatest to the moon instead!

(how's that for a lame segue, eh? BOY do I need practice!)

Anyhoo...

Jim managed to nail down quite a few tribute albums with this latest batch, and I'll admit freely that a goodly number of them look more than a little interesting to my good self. There's also some new ... er ... OK, I'll let you read the list for yourself!

Hey Dot! Why doncha let PDJim get a few Albums up before stuffin' em! That'll make your life easier!

Has anyone said that (or something similar) to themselves? I know I have! And I have only one thing to say to that:

DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!

I take some time to do Dot type stuff, and Jim, in his Own Way, comes behind me and plugs all this stuff up for me to ignore.

And in the process, I not only rob y'all of cool music, but I make my life more difficult, and fill up the disk space on the server to boot.

I should be ashamed.

In repentence, I promise that:
  1. I will not wait so damn long to get things stuffed and mounted.
  2. I will not run for senate.
  3. I'll keep on top of stuff like I should instead of lounging about like a toothless redneck. (shyaddap)
  4. I will not ask for the translation of that one album.
  5. I will not run for any political office.
  6. I'll shut up now and let y'all know what I've spent most of my afternoon stuffing and mounting.

Having said that...
  • Carptree - Man Made Machine
  • English, Aaron - All The Waters Of The World
  • Fluttr Effect - (Trithemis Festiva)
  • Kaizokuhousou 91.5 - The Mystery of Life Contamination
  • Kaphan, Bruce - Slider
  • Karicus - Sphere
  • Kraan - Live 88
  • Kraan - Nachtfahrt
  • Laserdogs - Frankenclown
  • Le Blanc, Guy - All The Rage

Greetings, folks.

I put these up yesterday, but, as is my wont these days, managed to forget to post about it here. So, in contrast with my usual operations, I'm gonna shut up and do it.

DOH!

I have no excuse. I've run out of them. I bow my head in shame. I beg forgiveness. I grovel before all and sundry to forgive the humble supplicant. I'll even sweep the floor a couple of times for penance.

Maybe it was becuse I was so stoked to go to NEARFest this year. Haven't decided about Friday, but Saturday and Sunday are both GO!

My most 'umble apologies for falling down on the job.

Roger -Dot- Lee, chastised to the point where I'll make sure to post the next ones twice!

OK, maybe not, but Mea Maxima Culpa &c.

Greetings, folks.

After an extended absence, I have, to a limited extent, returned.

At least long enough to get caught up on the stuffing and mounting and try to figure out why y'all can't send me mail but the spammers can.

One thing that is confusing the Moon a bit is these remasters. Currently, we have them listed by the year they were released, but does that work for you guys when you browse the playlist, which is listed chronologically? I think I'd rather see them listed with their original dates. What do ye think?
