Re: Prog pets
BTW, my avatar is a meerkat from the the Fellow Earthlings Wildlife Center in Morongo Valley, CA - http://www.fellowearthlings.org/ - where you can adopt a meerkat rescued from a zoo, and hand feed and just generally experience there really cool critters, I believe this was "Rafiki" enjoying the comfy chair

This is my family, including the one we lost about two years ago after only 8 months. Poor dear. But then we wouldn't have the wild one Sgt. Lastrade.
Greyson is the oldest, quickly followed by Sable. Then Odd Job (who had a brother named Motor Head, but he parished young in the wild streets). She was our neighbor's Son's cat, but she was adopted since after the death of her brother because he wasn't caring for them well. (It was my contention that my daughter stole her. Fran tells it differently.) That leaves Lastrade as the youngest. He is named after a character in one of the many Sherlock Holmes books (a tradition we've kept for our siamese cats). Sgt. Lastrade was one of the many detectives Holmes worked with. He, however, looked like Oscar the grouch from Seseme street when a kitten so acquired that nick name, soon followed by "monster" because he also resembled the Bumble from Rudolph fame. So his full name is Sgt. Oscar "Monster" Lastrade. They are all indoor cats and each demand equal lap time. Sable & Oscar get Sallie. Odd Job and Greyson split their time between Frances and I. P.S. (Roger) I have reduced the sizes of the pix - sorry. |

This is Molly, our Ozzie Shepherd. She lives with another family member now, but I'm posting her pic because she was instrumental in getting me up at 4 am when we used to have the regular morning chat in "white". So she really does have Moon Roots. She comes to visit on occasion, and gets along with our cat Ariel, (pic forthcoming). I miss being with Molly on a daily basis. She is a wonderful pooch.

Here's our star of the show - Sally (our fourth dog - we haven't been lucky with the last two) - No cats I'm afraid as Sally's holy grail is hating cats.........

Re: Prog pets
just a small request and suggestion folks: please reduce the size of your pictures, some of those are well over a Mb.
e.g. Rogor's pic is only 86Kb, while some of the others are 1.5 Mb. |

It was in the news a few months back - now that is prog! Google Oscar the Hospice cat, it's very strange... http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...ious/Oscar.jpg |

Here's my boy LOKI (natcherly, what else would a Norski
name his dog?) a German (import) Shepherd @ 2/ 1/2 months. He's now 117 lbs. of pure muscle, a champ frisbee dog. His jump's been measured (head level) @ 9 ft. during a catch. Curves, floaters, no sweet spots, he catches them all. K |
Re: Prog pets
Such a pleasure to see everyone's critter friends...what joys that they bring to our lives. And ask so little in return...
Too bad their masters/mistresses can't always get along so well... :hrm: |
