Kazumi Watanabe _The Spice of Life_ with Bill Bruford and Jeff Berlin is quite nice. I also have his _Mobo Club_ album, which is equally interesting. "Kyosei Seppun" (5th track) is wild. definitely worth adding to the catalog if you can find 'em :D

Also if you're fans of John Scofield fusion style stuff, the 7th track on _Mobo Club_, "Circadian Rhythm" should sound quite familiar.

Hmm that reminds me of some other stuff Scofield has participated in, particularly the album _Bass Desires_ by Marc Johnson, with Bill Frisell (another interesting chap) and Peter Erskine. The first track on that one, "Samurai Hee Haw" is great fun. :)
