Very sad news. He was an inspiration to many guitarists that are revered in their own right.

This is the month of losses. First, Bob Casales from Devo. Francesco DiGiaccomo after. And on their 60's. Now Paco de Lucia. Please February 2014, end soon.

It was a huge surprise to me. Any musician, any guitar player and for all of us trying to play guitar , De Lucia was an impressive musician. No matter if you like flamneco or acoustic sound...phenomenal player..technique with deep sense..not only gymnastic movement through fretboard.
Self-tought guitar player.
Saw him once mid 80s,, great. Sad news. Young person,really sad.
