Rod Stewart

I heard some Rod Stewart this morning quite by accident and started thinking, "Wouldn't this sound great on Aural Moon?"

Then I thought, "No, it wouldn't. Not at all."
:D

the chameleon

he's got that laughable cover tune thing going now. Reminds me of Billy Joel, who has a tune for every genre (see how many music types he covers, it will annoy and surprise you).

The last good thing I can think of Rod Stewart doing was that great song "People Get Ready" with Jeff Beck - and that was 1985! Come to think of it, has Jeff Beck done anything of interest since then?

Hmmmmm.............

"If you think I'm proggy and you think I'm sexy, come on sugar let me know"! (Who has ever used "sugar" in describing someone)

Cursed

OK it seems that I've been somehow cursed for even starting this thread. Let me explain...

I am subjected (against my will!) to a lite-rock station for about 20 minutes every morning. I try my best to ignore it, and just hope that there will be lots of commercial breaks during that period, but usually I have to sit through one or two boring pop songs or ballads from the 70's or 80's.

Rod Stewart was on the day I started the thread - that was Wednesday. He's always been one of my least favorites. I'm not sure of the titles to most of his songs, but this one was "Tonight's the Night."

Yesterday, we heard the one that goes "bring over some of your old Motown records" over and over again.

Today was the one that goes "where the ocean meets the sky I'll be sailing." What is with this? I used to hear about one Rod Stewart song every two weeks, and now it's three days in a row. Usually it's Sheryl Crow or Five for Fighting or some other inane soundalike band. Billy Joel gets his share of time there too.

Is there a way to exorcise this demon of Rod Stewart? I'll be checking in with Mr. Oldfield later today.

Lost cause

If you eliminate Mr. Stewart, there will be another to take his place. Keep him as the sacrificial lamb.

Let all that is lite channel through him..........

I hate it when there's a decent song and they overplay it - I heard "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" every day for a month once.

Just remember the good output like "Every Picture Tells A Story".

I thought that was Elton John.

Now there's a thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that's right

I knew that was elton, of course - I was making the point that it's a song I like that i heard too much.

The author regrets the error.
