My friend who got me a ticket last year...

is doing the same this year. I will definitely be there.

Moses?;)

Roger -Dot- Lee 10-14-2004 07:18 PM

I'd like to go. We'll see if I can.

Hopefully I can, anyway...

VAXman 10-15-2004 01:59 PM

Let's help make it a success!!!!

I was on the telephone for about 1.5 hours yesterday with George Roldan the organizer of ROSfest. George needs to sell about 350 seats to break even on this event. Last year's sales were about 275.

The inaugural ROSfest last year was excellent. Great bands, great vibe, great people (even if RickandRoll was there :p ) and well executed. This year's lineup is really good too.

Please seriously consider this event. You won't be disappointed. Let's turn it into a moonie fest.

I'm there VAXman

You sold me!! I'll make the effort to get down there mostly, in spite of my better judgment, to see Rick and have a beer woth you all. April is also a good time to get away from the spring slush that we have on the streets here.

Beer, Eh?

Great. Gold Patron tix (closer seats but cost more and help the cause) go on sale next Saturday @ noon EDT. Access via the [Merch] or [Ticket Info] links.

Mostly? Does that mean we have to give you a lift from Ontario?

Let us know if you need to get a place to stay, etc. Putting the call out to Moses, jnighting, quantumjo, prythm, thor, some of the other east coasters.

Since I have travelled little, conversely I would not expect to see too many people from too far away. It seems like a lot to do. But if you were debating, and had a choice between this one and Nearfest..well I like this one better.

I don't think they cost that much more and are still economical.

By some weird Moon alignment I will be at vax's place by 11AM the day tickets go on sale! Maybe we all can communicate via the chatroom that morning.

VAXman 10-15-2004 02:30 PM

Annie Haslam

Forgot to mention that George said Annie Haslam (Renaissance) will be at the fest with her artwork. Be sure to bring your Renaissance back catalog for autographing.

Do you have tix for NJ Prog House? If not, I'll order them. Jim Robbinson is also having a BBQ that day before the show. BYO. Should be great fun.

The tix are on me. Beer too and whatever other incidentals may be needed. You can sleep on one of the couches in the basement. Not the Waldorf Astoria but the room rate is right! Just promise me you won't rape the cat! :p

Has anyone else secured tix yet besides Jim, vax, and me?

PapaJimH 11-06-2004 12:38 PM

My hat is off to George and his team. They have secured an incredible lineup.

Man that bar is high!
