Interzone - May 31, 2005: Featured Artists II

Word,

Please join me for another week of Interzone. This week I’ll be highlighting three featured artists you might otherwise commonly hear on this program. The Featured Artists show will pop up time and again to highlight those I wish to give further attention to.

First, I’ll be playing some tracks from the German jazz-rock band Passport. Second, a long 90 minute segment devoted to everyone's favorite overplayed artist of the month, Gentle Giant. Lastly, I will play several tracks from the legendary jazz pianist McCoy Tyner.

If you were ever curious about these three artists, this is the week to check them out.

Hope you can join me...

- Cozy

PS - playlist to come

PPS - I'm aware that there were recently two programs on AM that featured Gentle Giant. I had these tracks picked more than a month ago for this show and decided to go ahead with it anyway. :)

Are we Siamese? I got a McCoy Tyner track (just one) on my next show.

Now if you start playing some Zep the week after, we have to talk:D

Hell, I'd hear Giant all the time! Do it!

Hopefully...

....we won't run into too many of these coincidences. I don't think I'll be playing any Zep soon. :D (though I love them)

Priestess,

I have most of the stuff, and the Tyner I can get. Save it for another show and surprise me! Anyway, I think I owe you some shows, don't I?

Thanks for thinking about me:)

You're welcome! I played what I feld personally was their stongest material.

No Passport this week, but there's another jazz-rock show on Tuesday.
