This is good, Rick. I seem to remember they had to cancel before because of visa hassles?

I can't find tix pricing under tickets info. What is the ballpark figure for the weekend. Also, where do ppl stay...recommendations?

thx, mossy

you are correct.

It's kind of complicated about the other info ( a bit more than i can give right now at work)...

but the Patron seats are $225 (a bit much) and general is lowe, maybe in the high 100's. I'm surprised the info is not there.

Every time but twice I've sat Patron so I don't know how the others work. There's a time frame for general sales. If you don't see prices, email rob or chad (via the link). they'd be glad to help. i can look tonight also.

The hotels I'm not sure. i stayed the past two years at the same hotel most bands did and had a rousing time. Lots of stories. but I heard that hotel is off limits this year. A friend booked 20 rooms when last year's shows were announces and Rob got royally pissed. So I think that's the result. I'm winging it. I should be fine.

They're in the middle of the Patron Lottery, I should know soon what i get. if you go patron you need to sign up by tonight!

There I answered you anyway lol...again I'll check tonight...

BIG headliners (such as Steve Hackett) caused tickets to sell out quickly. I actually missed out on tix for the NF which featured Hackett but I was able to secure a set when another ticket holder had to relinquish their tix. Since then, it's the patron tix for me.

With Emerson headlining, the regular tix might go just as fast. Good luck.

Don't let it deter you if you're far down on the lottery list. Those with multiple tickets are sometimes in there a few times. As they get tickets, names will just magically drop off. We got third row last year, although I have a feeling I may not be so lucky this time..

Good luck!

Re: Nearfest.....

I was plenty excited by the NF lineup BEFORE they announced Emerson. having seen ELP several times, he's great, but I'm more excited by FM whom I've never seen and didn't think I ever would. Lots of the supporting acts are really good, and there's always at least one pleasant surprise.

Westerners may want to consider Bajaprog in March - Mexico is a bit cheaper than the east coast, and airfares may be more reasonable. I'm driving. Flower Kings, Mostly Autumn and Nektar are amongst those playing this year. http://www.bajaprog.org

Interesting lineup for bajaprog, Jim. And four days..wow.

Goo, hope you see this. Here's your chance to see Toccata.

Ye Gods!!!!!

You lovely people on the West of The Swamp do get some GREAT Festivals don't you?????

I'm going to double the amount I spend on the Lottery now as that's the only way I reckon I'll get enough Dosh to visit in the near future. :rolleyes2 :grump: :hmph:

Re: Nearfest.....

Just a warning Keithie - I've been trying that ploy since 1989 when the lottery started in DK and as you can guess with no sucess. May I suggest robbing a bank? :dogpile:
