Show 80 - 2002,2003,2004,2005....and 1975

For the next several weeks, I'll be eschewing theme-related shows in order to highlight some recent purchases. I have quite a few to play. Anyway, I read where Bob Dylan is doing an XM show, and he's doing a Mothers Day theme..

Sellout R)

Visual Cliff (2004) - Key To Eternity

A tasteful instrumental disc. Not the most exciting music, but solid and well worth it. Thanks to moses for steering me towards them.

The Return (Part 1 - Revealed)
(Part II - Battle Soul)
Key To Eternity
Romans 10
Palisades
Living Proof
At Mospheric Reside
Angelic Shield
The Message

Remember...Instumentals...:boxing:

Skeleton Breath (2005) - Louise

Quirky band I saw with vax at the NJ Proghouse (thanks for the bottle opener at Rosfest by the way:grinz: ) a few years back...vax saw them again very recently. Three piece, with a violin bass drums combo. Maybe compared to Boud Deun, but these guys more percussive and less jazz than them.

Surf Music (Part 1)
Do the Lazy Rabbit
Fever Dream Waltz
Harvestmen
Plastic Motor Fight
Circus Train
Louise
Mausoleum
Ashtabula

More instrumentals...as evidenced by the weird song titles.

Ambrosia (1975) - Ambrosia

One of the finest records of the time. Great songwriting by David Pack and Joe Puerta, contains one of my favorite songs, the beautifully sad "Holdin' On To Yesterday".

Nice, Nice, Very Nice
Time Waits For No One
Holdin' On To Yesterday
World Leave Me Alone
Make Us All Aware
Lover Arrive
Mama Frog
Drink of Water

Fast Eddie (2002) - Not Sold In Stores

Features the indie leanings of guitarist and singer Jeremy Reichwein and the odd keyboards of David Durst combined with the booming rhythm section of Mike Kirby and Bryan Jones (Jonesy). Jonesy is a monster bassist, with a neat solo CD I played some of a few weeks back, full of atmosphere and African rhythms..

Spin the Grey Sky
Time Slump
The Godfather (James Brown's Nightmare)
Through the Divide

(4 of the 7 songs on the CD)

Fast Eddie Music Conspiracy (2005) - The Kids Dig It

Same band, new name. More divergent than the previous record. Some songs very heavy and others lighter, a wider spectrum of sound. We'll sample 4 of the 10 songs. Listen to Jonesy in the first and fourth cuts...

Into the Void
Automatic
Please
Monstrosity

A wide variety of sound this week, hope you enjoy the ride :winkies:
