The Fusion Reactor #108 - Quench Your Thirst

A new show! This Monday and Wednesday, The Fusion Reactor is doing a show on beverages. But that doesn't mean the show will be watered down! You will see, however, that there is a much lower number of songs about alcoholic beverages than others.

White - Waterhole (06:12)
Seemed like a good place to start.

Garaj Mahal - Milk Carton Blues (03:07)
This makes me think of the little blue 1/2 pint cartons of 2% milk we got in grade school.

Volta do Mar - The Lawless Days of Drinking Whisky in 10th Grade (06:30)
Hey, it was 10th grade, before I knew any better.

Brand X - Algon (Where an Ordinary Cup of Drinking Chocolate Costs Eight Billion Pounds) (06:10)
We won't go there, it's too expensive, but I hear the drinking chocolate is quite good.

Umphrey's McGee - Water (05:28)
Tasty and thirst-quenching.

Electromagnets - Hawaiian Punch 0(6:01)
Sweet stuff.

Tiles - Tear-Water Tea (04:18)
Ummm... Not so sweet stuff.

Hiromi - Green Tea Farm (04:39)
And it's high in antioxidants!

Ozric Tentacles - White Rhino Tea (05:55)
And high in... something else.

Rare Blend - Intermission (03:10)
I don't know about you, but at this point I have to use the restroom.

moe. - Water (07:09)
What is it with proggy jambands and songs called Water?

John Scofield - Green Tea (05:12)
More of the green stuff.

Trey Gunn - Rune Song: The Origin Of Water (06:14)
Apparently there was a Warr and the runes tell all about how water came to be.

Chad Wackerman - Black Coffee (05:58)
One of my favorite beverages, and a great drummer. (edit)No, that's Carl Verheyen on guitar. Allan Holdsworth plays on the album, not that track.(/edit)

Forever Einstein - There's Some Milk in the Fridge That's About to Go Bad... and There It Goes (08:06)
Drink at your own risk.

Herbie Hancock - Watermelon Man (06:55)
You can't really drink it, but it's pretty much water anyhow. Except for the seeds.

Lo Faber Band - In Green Waters (09:23)
Also drink at your own risk.

Panzerpappa - Farlig Vandring (På Tynt Vann) - Hazardous Hiking (On Thin Water) (08:33)
Now exactly what do you thin water with?

Don Caballero - you drink a lot of coffee for a teenager (02:41)
Yes I did. Perhaps that explains why I'm short and bald.

Waking Vision Trio - Fresh Water Prayer (04:22)
The salt water prayer wasn't so tasty.

Yes - Take The Water To The Mountain (03:10)
At this point you're probably ready to take the water somewhere, and if there isn't a lavatory nearby, I'd say the mountain is as good a place as any.

Coincidentally, I just mentioned this song in the shoutbox in a totally different context...
