I second Sharc, it'd be unfair for us.
We could have more of a challenge by doing non-prog music trivia. :haha:

We could "retire" certain users from answering, and make the The Masters of Prog Trivia! What say ye?

In all seriousness my cheeky friends, we've had some prog and non-prog questions and some great quizzes, answered by all. The alphabet one started by dinosaur was my favorite. Also fun was the connections...but the issue is trying to do one that can't be solved via a quick internet check.

The main reason though is lack of time. It's labor intensive to do and maintain a quiz. But it's damn fun so go for it!

and to answer Avian, I can be an "all-time quarterback" of sorts and ask questions every so often. i don't get any pleasure from answering but i like to ask....maybe next week.

May I suggest the following - stolen of course from somewhere else.

Pass the buck quiz - I start off with a nasty question and the poor sucker who get's it right has to pose a new question and so on. It's been going foe two months somewhere else and one doesn't have to be a "progmaster" to take part as most of us knows something that we others do not know.

Just to give an example I have found the following question:
In the 'Old Medley' from The Way We Walks (Volume Two: The Longs) Genesis play many fragments from their classic songs. In the cover book of the CD's they print only five of them - Dance On A Volcano, Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, The Musical Box, Firth Of Fifth and I Know What I like...

Do you believe me If I tell you there are more 5 songs in the Medley?
...And they are?

and off we go..........

Ye Gods!!!!

When I started this all those years ago I thought it might be a bit of fun, and it was/could still be.

Let me try and get the ball rolling again with this question:

What links IQ with Genesis and Yes and Don Caballero?

Take it away Progsters!!!!!!!!

Seems to me Mortis already has a question on the floor. Rogor, do we have to watch him this weekend? :)

what, you've never heard of multitasking?! There's two questions on the floor, answer whichever one strikes your fancy.

I recommend starting a new thread with the first answer to each to keep it somewhat organized...
