Well I am a little bit biased.........(since I am on one track) but I DO love the Mooch CD: "Dr. Silbury's Liquid Brainstem Band". It's totally sssssspaceyyyyyyyyyyy

2 hours of insane spacerock... Bridget Wishart is on a few of the tracks, as well as Don Falcone of Spirits Burning. :)

But I know that my fav album of the year will be coming out in September.. shhhhhhhhhhhhh ..........all to be announced very soon. ;)

1) The Tangent - Going off on one.
2) Magic Pie - Circus of life.
3) Threshold - Dead Reckoning.

Of course, this could all change VERY quickly. :)

I knew it would change but I didn't realise it would be so quickly.

I just got Jack Foster III's new album "Tame until hungry" and it has gone into the joint number one slot.

It is AMAZING!!!!! I can't recommend it highly enough.

I thinks this thread is stupid as there are still 5 months to go with several releases on the way and it's too early to make any judgement on the best CD which, anyway, is totally subjective. And what you think this week is no.1 will be different next week as Keithie has proved to the point and how can he judge that when he's just received the CD - I can't as I've only heard it twice.

BTW

I wish I could pick three years later, and while I wouldn't necessarily word it as strongly as our blunt friend Mr. Mortis, the thread is premature. i can't tell until years down the road.

BUT, it's a fun exercise! So,

What has grabbed me so far is the Magic Pie, the Beardfish, Gourishankar, and a few others I've played on the show. I still need to get the Tangent, and that and the JF III (thanks Keith!) should make for a spirited battle!

Another unreleased sure to be a gem is the Little Atlas.....

BTW

I can judge for the simple reason that it's MY opinion of what MY favourite CD is SO FAR (Did you actually read the thread title??)

I got the impression that an opinion was asked for not an definite answer.

Anyway....back to the music.

Yes an opinion was asked for and the thread did read SO FAR, I thought it would be fun to hear other's opinions on the best of 07 SO FAR. Not to be ridiculed.

SO FAR, I'm diggin' the Magic Pie - Circus of Life. I haven't been able to hear the others mentioned as of yet, so.... more possibilities later and more releases.
