See BMS, Hear Tull

This morning the On The Air box showed the cover for Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, track In volo from the album Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, but the tune that was playing was Jethro Tull's Last Man at the Party.

Just sayin'

At 7:45:32, Banco Del Mutouo Soccorso - In Volo played for 2m13s. It was followed up at 7:47:46 with Jethro Tull - Last Man at the Party. I suspect that your browser lost its refresh interval timer and didn't pull the Currently Playing info when the Tull track played. If you use iTunes, the iTunes window will show you what is playing. Don't rely on the Currently Playing window for track information unless you refresh your browser first.

At last, we can rely on Julie's Ears more than Currently Playing.

Hi VAX,
I refreshed my browser manually, as I routinely do since I know that the track playing and what is displayed on the website are not always in sync.
I use RealPlayer, which shows me the track name, which is how I know the name of the Tull tune. (I never heard it before).
Others in the shout box noticed the same thing when I brought it up, which is why I made this post.

Right now, if I scroll back through the Recently Played list, BMS is shown followed by Terry Bozzio's Hypnotic from the Chamber Works album. The Jethro Tull tune does not show in the list at all! I guess the BMS tune played, but since I don't know their stuff well enough, I can't say for sure. Perhaps one of my shoutbox buddies who were on at the time can confirm.

PeterG and teermin8r also experienced the same thing. Both use iTunes and Safari

Ah ha! (Where's the glowing light bulb graphic?)

I looked back too like you did and I see that. However, I checked in the station for the information I previously posted. The problem is with the Tull track.

It appears that the Tull track (which was from that gawd awful christmas album) was set to "Unknown content". Perhaps it was as a way to keep it in the library but not have it in rotation until the christmas season is upon us again. SAM picked it and played it but, because of the content setting, track information was not relayed to the web site.

Holy crap, that's a great disc! I know tee you donated it to me :)

Glad to hear it was resolved. Checking the browser usually is the issue but it seemed in this case it was the equivalent of "turn your computer off and on"
