Sorry for this, but curiosity is killing me; what happened on on 07-07-2003 at 02:45 PM?

On the start page of this forum it says that "Most users ever online was 59 on 07-07-2003 at 02:45 PM."

59 !!

I check here almost every day (also when it's prime time in N. America) and I think there have not been more people on the forum on-line than five. (and the previous record was significantly lower)

Was Auralmoon mentioned in the CNN news, or what happened?

I've wondered that, too. I was here very shortly after the peak, when it was still in the upper 50's, and I believe there were only two or three members present. all the rest were guests. I've heard of some strange AOL looping cookie thing that can happen, so I wonder about that. interestingly, no one joined AM on that day, and only three people have joined since...

maybe the mods were just having fun playing with the numbers!! :cool:
