Re: New Yes Album Artwork and Tracklist

I like what I hear on that. A very Drama-ish feel. Like Benoit's singing on it. Could be good.

Re: stirring the Yes roumor mill

The Yes project and the Wakeman/Anderson/Rabin project will inevitably be combined for UNION TWO.

Re: Greatest Prog albums of all time

An interesting list for sure; well worth debating.

I think though some of his picks are deliberately controversial. Like Crimso's Wake of Poseidon for instance-- I'd question that as being their...

Re: 35th Anniversary of Tales from Topographic Oceans.

Nice "tale" Keithie.

I never saw them that far back, but I remember seeing Yes on the KTA tour and they did one of the tracks and I had goosebumps listening to it.

Too bad they didn't release a...

Re: Dire Straits

Well like i said, I didn't mean to open up the "what is prog" Can of Worms.

But I'd argue that Telegraph Road, Private Investigator, Tunnel of Love, Ride Across The River, Why Worry, at the very...

Dire Straits

Find it a bit strange there is no Dire Straits on here. We can argue about what is and isn't prog, but they're AS proggy as Rush, at least.

Well I'm sure I'll be able to get a pass...I'm not sure if they'll make it to North America or not, though. :-)

Re: Goblin

Thanks Jim. Sorry, I asked...I knew you were responsible for most...but I also know other listeners have also contributed in the past.

Anyways, thanks for the Goblin

Goblin

Hey who submitted the Goblin discs to the Moon? Whoever you are...thanks. I've been meaning to hear them. Apparently they're going to be touring later this year, and a childhood friend of mine,...

Re: PFM and iTunes

Interesting.

I Tunes Canada has a boat load of PFM. The trick, though, is to search for Premiata Forneria Marconi, not PFM. If you search PFM you get a handful of recent live albums. Under the...

Re: R.I.P. Rick Wright

In a way, Rick Wright’s death today, marks the end of an era for me.

I’ve been a Pink Floyd fan almost as long as I’ve enjoyed music. Certainly the bulk of my defining teenage years were spent...

Re: Yes to tour w/ "Jon understudy"

Yeah, he's a good stand in; but that's just it. It's not the real thing. Would be cheaper to just go see the dude's cover band instead.

Re: Genesis "Misunderstanding" Parody

Good parody.

That said, as a pop song, I always liked Misunderstanding.

I'd rather hear that on the radio then anything by ELO

Mike Oldfield's Games For Free...

Some years back, Mike Olfield designed two computer games called Tres Lunas and Maestro.
I paid for and bought both of them. They are now both available for free on his mikeoldfield.com...

Re: Yes.....no clue

Here in Toronto, the radiio ads mostly play Owner of A Lonely Heart with some Roundabout.

I see in the newspaper ads for it, the tour is called "Yes: Close To The Edge and Back"

Re: Aural Moon theme

My guess is he's thinking of Hackett's Spectral Mornings from Gagliarchives. I know I used to think it was Auralmoon's theme song, back i when I was new here.
