Re: If I had a band I'd call it....

I like all of those titles (except maybe Syncopated Sanity).
Cloud Nein is very Neitzche
Splitting Hares a little gruesome
Synesthesia would have to be for a very ELP type band
Camel Toast is...

Re: If I had a band I'd call it....

A few band names I've toyed with...

The Has-Beens (old covers band)
Once Were Rock-stars (in the same vein)
Thursday Night Roast (or whichever day your local pub has it - for a folk band)
Lost in...

Spectrum - Milesago - What the World Needs Is a New Pair of Socks

Just requested this and the whole 7-8 minutes is full of drop outs.
Did anyone else have this? Doesn't seem to be connection-related as the previous and following broadcast tracks were fine.
Don't...

Re: Good wishes for Kazuhiro and all of our Japanese brothers and sisters.

I really hope you get to keep the lid on those nuclear power plants.
The devastation would be unthinkable, and there is already so much unthinkable devastation.
My heartfelt best wishes to all those...

Re: Request button inactive?

Yeah. I suspect it's a logging-in thing.
I use a saved link to the requests page, and I'm probably not correctly logged in. Will try starting from the homepage next time.

Question Request button inactive?

Can't work this out.
Whenever I try to make a request (even outside of Wednesday) the Request buttons seem to be inactive for clicking.
This is a problem using FF2 (with and without adblock active)...

Re: Over 20 minutes song

Just to add to the dry heave quotient, maybe rather than a time quota, but a delay in when you can request again depending on accumulated length of requests over the past, I dunno, week? In fact, you...

Re: Over 20 minutes song

I rarely request (I'm in and out of the room, and rarely get to hear the request anyway). Must admit, I have requested long ones, just to "make it worthwhile". I won't do that anymore, given that I...

Re: Spectrum

Interesting.
And of course there is the album Spectrum by Billy Cobham.

But I do definitely mean the Australian band headed up by Mike Rudd, with Bill Putt, Lee Neale (later replaced by John Mills)...

Spectrum

One of Australia's classic "non-pigeonholeable prog" bands.
Hard to pigeonhole, as they changed style over time.
But having said that, they are often lauded as foremost in Australian prog.
Albums...

Re: Australian Prog Rock

I've been intending to suggest Spectrum to you for a while.
I think I did a long time ago, but the albums weren't readily available then.

Australian Prog Rock

Hey, thanks Sean for the Aussie prog rock.
Some classic stuff in there.
I'm completely flabbergasted that you don't have Spectrum (http://www.milesago.com/artists/spectrum.htm), who I would think are...

How about some progr from down under?

There's quite a few good albums from Australia and New Zealand which would add geographic diversity to the Progressive library.

NZ band Split Enz' first album, "Mental Notes" (1977) is a classic...
