Spiral Architect - A Sceptic's Universe

Check out this metalband. Very complex, clean vocals.

Miles Davis

To me fusion is 100% prog, so Miles' pioneering fusion albums fit more than well here on Aural Moon.

Surprised to see Nick Drake mentioned here though, but I'm not very familiar with him.

Love it... My favourite PF era (Meddle/DarkSide) as well.

As the director recognizes himself, it's a pity that almost all attention is given to Nick Mason on 6-10min section of Echoes, though.

I...

Re: Dream Theater

It's not about heaviness (King Crimson is heavier), it's something else... don't know exactly what. There are Liquid Tension Experiment songs on the list that you can request if you want something...

My JT list

1. Stand Up
2. Thick as a Brick
3. Songs from the Wood
4. Aqualung
5. Benefit

Personally I don't mind prog that borders on folk and blues. I'm a big fan of Fairport Convention and the like.

I might...

You could get one already now:

The track 'Krautrock' is quite enervating... Sounds like you've blowed your speakers.

The only artist I hear too much too often is Lana Lane. Or it may only be bad timing.

By and large the mix here on AM is quite good.

Hatfield & the North's Rotter's Club is on the very top of the Gnosis 2000 list.

Rating: 13.33 / 15

I love Canterbury, love HatN, love Rotter's Club but ... the best??? Hmmm.

I never liked Flower Kings at all, until I heard Unfold. Saw them live in Aug 2002, but was unimpressed. Don't know if I have changed or they have changed, probably the former. Nevertheless, I guess...

Does the intro of the Tull song 'We Used to Know' remind you of a certain The Eagles' song...?

Re: Explanations, please

Within the Genesis-sound-a-like genre I think that Citizen Cain have their own niche in virtue of the extreme (albeit woody) complexity and absense of lush and extravagant arrangements. Unfortunately...

The Tangent

What do you think of this act? I really enjoyed David Jackson's saxophone in VdGG, and I'm starting to appreciate FK/Stolt more and more. His style has been a bit too slick for my 'default' prog...
