Well, I'm not really the best guy to be talking about Krautrock, but . . .
I'd say Can and Amon Dull II come to mind along with Tangerine Dream. I have absolutely no authority to judge these bands or their music, however, seeing as how I have heard little to none of them. They're just the names I know from what I've read and what little I've actually listened to.
