Spaz - good call. Queens of the Stone Age - fun band, not a sniff of prog.

Figures the Mars Volta would lead the article. From what I've heard, they're very good, but I'm not so sure they're as prog as maybe Red Hot Chili Peppers for the progger.

I bought tickets for Porc Tree, but I'm steering clear of the accolades until I see them again live. They're more popular now because their sound is more accesible.

Such a long article weeds out the true meaning. "Prancing around playing silly flute solos". Give me a freaking break. And we got the grandaddy of them all, the famous line "self-important". That stuff strikes a nerve.

Look, when you quote a Ramone about prog (and I like the Ramones), it's the same as quoting Shaq about world politics.

I give him credit though:

He did quote George Roldan very well. And I like Shawn Godon's decriptions of progressive. That's good.

But I don't see this article as anything but another long line in yawners.
