I'm not a big country fan by any stretch of the definition. The closest I get is Southern Fried rock and Countrifried Rock, like some Allman Bros., some Skynyrd, selected tracks from folks like the Eagles and Marshall Tucker, got a soft spot for CDB, LOVE Neil Young, etc. I also like
some of the folkier side of country - singer-songwriter type stuff - like Mary Chapin Carpenter and the old school boys, like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and George Jones - but in small quantities. But as for NEW country, blech!
But, I have to admit that Big and Rich are the best thing to happen to (non-prog) popular music in a long time. They are (1) good, (2) fun, and (3) a hoot to listen to.
