Jon Anderson solo gig in london.

Jon........he came, he saw, he conquered.

Shepherds Bush Empire was the place to be this evening if you wanted to experience one of the truly GREAT concerts.

Rogor Mortis said that he'd decided to pass on this tour because he'd heard that there was too much talk and not enough music. Rogor you made a huge mistake!!!!!! Sure he talked between some of the songs but it was a concert of 2 hours, at least 1 hour 50 minutes of which was music.

Jon played solo but the sound was so full it enveloped you.

He sang like an angel and had the audience in the palm of his hand.

Of course, he played a few Yes numbers.....soon, long distance runaround, And you and I, Yours is no disgrace and Your move to name a few. He also played some things he wrote with Vangelis.....State of indipendence and I'll find my way home. There were some newer songs, the titles of which I can't remember because I was basically taken so high by the overwhelming feeling of love and cosmic energy that Jon gave out.

It wasn't just me I promise. Pam and our friend Gill felt the same and looking at the other people in the audience it was obvious that the majority were in the same boat.

What is it about Jon Anderson that inspires and moves me so much? The day I met him in London is still so firmly in my mind. He is a beautiful man and I love him.

Definitely a gig in my top 5 of all time list.
