Join the GAGLIARCHIVES, Saturday night at 10pm Eastern Time, for program 924, as we spotlight the New Jersey Pine Barrens this Halloween weekend. It what has become a tradition in recent years, this year's guest and co-host will be Ben Ruset of the website
http://www.njpinebarrens.com. Ben will join us to talk about not only the mystical stories of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, but some of the unknown history to the greatest feature of our state. Occupying 22% of the state, the New Jersey Pines are host to a delicate and obscure ecosystem of plants and animals, and more ghost towns than the Wild West could ever boast of. We'll be spotlighting music from the new Djam Karet disc titled Recollection Harvest, The Underground Railroad's The Origin Of Consciousness, the Popul Vuh reissue of the 1978 classic Nosferatu, and a spotlight on Opeth and their new disc Ghost Reveries as they make their way to Philadelphia on Halloween night!
We'll also track music from Pulsar and the Halloween album, Anekdoten's Nucleas, the collaborative work of Landberk and Anekdoten and the now classic Morte Macabre, Il Baletto Di Bronzo and the Ys album, Steve Hackett's Darktown, Libra and the soundtrack to the 1977 movie Shock. We'll also feature music from Nebelnest, Scott McGill, and what Halloween special would be complete without Goblin? Happy Halloween...and see you Saturday Night!
