As was the case last year, we'll sample most of the acts appearing at the Rites of Spring Festival, 2006.
Lots of long pieces on the show....
Ephemeral Sun - A Song for Twilight
Got this from the Rosfest site. A great song, very powerful. Could have seen them a few years back but didn't know who they were.
Pineapple Thief - Remember Us
Another band not that familiar to me, but all I hear are good things. Another epically long piece.
Mirthrandir - Conversation With Personality Giver
A quirky piece from a band that put out one record in 1976. Sort of like Yezda Urfa at Nearfest last year, a "one hit prog wonder"

Alan Benjamin from Advent will be on guitar.
Pallas - Cross And The Crucible, The Last Angel
Nice title cut from their 2001 CD, and another epic from the latest, "The Dreams of Men".
Hamadryad - Action, 24
Two cuts from the French Canadian powerhouse.
The Watch - Damage Mode, ...And the Winner Is...
Two from the Day Two headliner. Not my cup of tea, but I'm serving you guys!
Magic Pie - Change
A terrific song from the Day Two opening act. Don't be too hungover, Rosfest goers! Twenty minutes (and five seconds) of power.
Karmakanic - Wheel of Life, One Whole Half
First cut is from the record of the same name, which I've added for the Moon. Second cut is an instrumental. The records are a bit uneven, but Jonas Reingold and Krister Jonsson are monsters, and it was great to see them with the Tangent last year.
Satellite - The Evening Wind
On The Run
Midnight Snow
Now
A Street Between Sunrise and Sunset
Five from their 2003 record. They'll be headlining Day One. I'd just recently heard them, and I must say, what a band! The keyboards are wonderful! And a band member named Wojtek
Midnight Snow is a beautiful song.
A great Polish band...between them and Riverside that's two great acts from Poland.
Enjoy the show!
