Continuing with the 7-disc Progday Encore set, here's some performances by some well-known and not so well-known prog acts....
Salem Hill - Flight of Icarus, Aceldama
You saw it right, the Kansas song. Great job on the cover! Aceldama is an early song and one of their very best. Love the guitar work.
Equinox - Refugio
Panamanian prog..there's obscurity
Discipline - Crutches, Before the Storm
Two from "Unfolded", epics deluxe.
Glass Hammer - Time Marches On
11 minutes of bliss, an excellent song.
After the Fall -
Mirage
Moonus Starus
The Last Hero
The Gavel
Sunspotz
An intriquing band, has a talented keyboardist in the Bardens vein, and a guitarist/singer who drives the band. Just a trio, haven't heard anything from them, and haven't had time to research. I like these cuts a lot.
House of Usher - Don't Remind Me, A Soul Without (C'est Pas Fini)
Like the last band, a US band I know little about. Excellent stuff, though.
NeBeLNeST - Crab Nebula
This is from 1999, and they will be at Nearfest this year.
Thinking Plague - Behold the Man
A rare listenable song by this band, usually in the lower tier of my liking.
Apocalypse - Corta
Brasilian band, symphonic.
Ten Jinn - Darkling Plain, Byzantine Fire
From the US, rather straightforward for a prog band.
Dark Aether Project - Burnt Sunrise
Adam Levin's band, he's the Stick player.
Consorzioacquapotible -
Il Mercante (intro)
Arnaldo Da Chatillion Crociato
Soli Sull'Olimpo
Typical Italian prog, very emotional and a bit quirky. Soli is a healthy 17 minutes long. Also known as "CAP", an easier name than it looks to say.
Enjoy!
