As said, Byrne (link 1) played with Eno (2). Now, fill in the numbers:
Eno played with (3).
(3) played with (4).
(4) played on a 1980's Jethro Tull album (5). (4) is someone who has been mentioned prominently in another thread.
Link (6) is a drummer from Tull, who played both on the studio albums and toured (I saw him) with a guitarist (7). Link (7) was the lead guitarist with (8) on this band's 2nd through 4th or 5th albums. If I give you link (9) it may give it away too soon. I already may have done this, since link (10) is UFO.

One more hint on the first question. This fusion band is no longer together, and put out three studio record and a live album with a sax player (all from 1987-1992).
